Clothes everywhere! My wardrobe's spring clean

On Sunday, I moved out of my boyfriend's flat and back to my parent's house (don't worry, not a break up, just a change of base for me while I go travelling/sort my life out!).  Since then I have been working on what I thought would be an easy task and has turned out to be a mammoth one...

Dreaming of blue skies

The weather is FINALLY warming up! Other than a handful of days this year, I honestly don't think the temperature has made it past 5 degrees. Not cool when it's already the end of March!  I'm dreaming of the days when I don't need a coat, scarf and gloves before I'm prepared to leave the house (some people might think that's excessive now, but I'm always cold)! Being able to sit outside for my lunch break today and actually enjoy it rather than freeze has made me remember just how much I love the sunny weather! It honestly makes me feel so much brighter and more energetic when it's nice outside - I've really missed it! Not to mention that everything just looks so much prettier when it's bathed in sunlight or surrounded by flowers 🎕.

Life update: Two days left of work!

I only have two days left of work and I'm filled with totally mixed feelings. Back in July last year, I decided that the best way to spend my 'year out' would be to do a range of different internships in order to gain real work experience while I saved for travelling, and to help me decide the kind of job I want. (This also gave me quite a good line for telling my lecturers/family/friends etc rather than " I don't really know what I'm doing... " 👀)

Why now?

Okay, okay, so I know I said I was going to start this after my birthday, but once I have an idea I like to get things going. It's mid-March. Maybe not the 'ideal' time to be starting something new - it's not the start of a new year, new month, new phase of my life or even a Monday! But that's something I'm trying to teach myself, that I don't have to wait for the 'normal' time to do things I want to do, or go places I want to go.

Adulthood and blogging (??!)

Later this year, in about 3 weeks time in fact, I will be turning 22 years old . That sounds totally crazy to me. In my head, I'm quite sure I'm still about 16. My youngest sister is just choosing which GCSEs she wants to take and it doesn't feel like very long ago that I had to do that - I remember it so clearly! But, with this new year, I am going to make some changes in my life.
